Statement from the Maryland Democratic Party is below:

“These victories across the state show that voters are ready for a government that works for them. With our fantastic delegation in Washington and Mayor-elect Scott in Baltimore, there’s no limit to what we can accomplish together. It’s time to restore the soul of our nation. We look forward to continued victories tonight, and a better future for Maryland and America.”

Maryland’s first district congressional district has also been called, where Mia Mason mounted a strong challenge against incumbent Andy Harris in a historically Republican district. Statement from the Maryland Democratic Party is below:

“Mia Mason ran a strong, historic campaign. In a traditionally Red district, Mia made critical inroads and built an invaluable infrastructure that will create the foundation for a Democratic 1st district in years to come. By showing up across the district, fighting for every vote, and talking to voters about the issues that matter to them, Mia was able to overperform what the pundits predicted and make the race competitive. We are deeply grateful for the work she has done. Her tireless efforts, along with those of her dedicated volunteers who were truly invaluable, have shown Maryland that the Eastern Shore is ready to go Blue.”

We look forward to every vote being counted, and to see the final results.
