Annapolis, MD — More than 24 hours after Donald Trump nominated former Bush White House official and conservative ideologue Judge Brett Kavanaugh to serve on the Supreme Court, Hidin’ Larry Hogan still has not come out against the nomination. Kavanaugh’s appointment to the Supreme Court would present a real threat to Maryland’s women, environment, workers and LGBTQ community.
“Maryland’s leaders are standing against Donald Trump and Washington Republicans’ attempts to roll back our progress while Larry Hogan remains in hiding,” said Maryland Democratic Party Chair Kathleen Matthews. “While Hogan is hiding, Ben Jealous is standing up for Maryland’s values against Judge Kavanaugh’s nomination and is committed to fight back against any attempt to undermine Maryland’s laws.”
