Maryland Democratic Party Files Expedited Release of Hogan’s Records

Annapolis, Md. – The Maryland Democratic Party called on Governor Hogan’s office to come clean on why Marylanders were censored and banned from posting on his official Facebook page.

Over the weekend, Hogan and his team were caught deleting Trump-related posts and even banning some commenters from posting entirely.

The Baltimore Sun editorial board equated Hogan’s actions to kicking constituents out of a town hall just for vocalizing their opinions to the Governor.

Since then, Hogan has been making excuses instead of offering answers. Marylanders deserve an explanation for why it appeared to be the Governor Hogan’s policy to censor and ban critics on his official Facebook page.

The following statement was released by Maryland Democratic Party executive director Chuck Conner:

“Instead of listening to Marylanders who were worried about the impact of Trump’s harmful agenda on our state, Governor Hogan was caught shamefully silencing their voices in Trump-like fashion.”

“Governor Hogan owes Marylanders answers on whether it is policy to censor and ban constituents on his official social media accounts just because they don’t share his views.”
