“Our goal is to have an open, inclusive and transparent election process for our next chair that reflects our party’s demographic and geographic diversity,” said the party’s parliamentarian Greg Pecoraro, who is leading a diverse committee to oversee the election.
The full nomination process, including filing deadlines, forms, and voting procedure details are available on the Party’s website, mddems.org.
Additionally, Pecoraro announced the first two in a series of forums for central committee members and voters to meet and hear from the candidates. The first forum on April 1, will be hosted by the Young Democrats of Maryland. A second has been scheduled for April 29 after the Western Maryland Democratic Summit in Rocky Gap.
Additional details, including a detailed schedule of events, will be made public in subsequent media advisories.
