Annapolis, Md. – At his news conference today, Governor Larry Hogan failed to address Trump’s proposed budget cuts that are poised to slow down Maryland’s economy and slash 200,000 civilian federal jobs, many held by Marylanders.
“With Maryland jobs on the Trump administration’s chopping block, Governor Hogan once again dropped the ball today and failed to stand up to Donald Trump,” said spokesperson Bryan Lesswing at the Maryland Democratic Party. “Either Governor Hogan isn’t listening to Marylanders, or he’s too partisan to stand up to his own party in Washington. That’s not leadership Maryland deserves.”
Unlike Hogan, Republican governors continue to stand up for their respective states against the Trump administration. Earlier today, a group of four Republican governors came out against Trumpcare in a joint letter.
