Annapolis, MD– Former Prince George’s State Senator Ulysses Currie passed away this morning.
“We are saddened by the passing of Senator Currie. His 32-year career was defined by his fierce advocacy for education and his mentorship of current and former Annapolis lawmakers.
We lost a giant in Prince George’s County politics today. Sen. Currie was a kind man and a passionate servant of his community,” said Maryland Democratic Party Chair Yvette Lewis.
The Maryland Democratic Party sends its condolences to Sen. Currie’s family, friends, and former colleagues.
