Will Hogan Hide from GOP Mega-Donor Steve Wynn’s Sexual Misconduct?

Jan 26, 2018

Annapolis, MD — In light of media coverage detailing sexual misconduct allegations against Republican mega-donor and Republican National Committee Finance Chair Steve Wynn, the Maryland Democratic Party is calling on Governor Larry Hogan to disavow Wynn and return the money he raised last year with Wynn for the Republican Governors Association (RGA) at a $10,000 per ticket fundraiser in Las Vegas.

Today, the Wall Street Journal reported that employees at Wynn Resorts “described a CEO who sexualized his workplace and pressured workers to perform sex acts.”  In May of last year, Hogan was honored by the RGA at a $10,000 per ticket fundraiser at Wynn Resorts.  Wynn was a special guest at the fundraiser, where he told a crowd of wealthy Hogan supporters that “it’s all about Larry Hogan.”

“We deserve a governor with zero tolerance for sexual misconduct. After these damning allegations, Governor Hogan should condemn Steve Wynn and immediately call on the RGA to return the money raised at a $10,000 per ticket fundraiser with Wynn last year,” said Maryland Democratic Party spokesperson Fabion Seaton.
