Maryland Democrats Announce 2018 Gubernatorial Primary Debate Schedule

May 17, 2018

Annapolis, MD — Today, the Maryland Democratic Party announced the 2018 Democratic primary debate schedule negotiated on behalf of all the gubernatorial candidates with major media outlets across the state. In March, the campaigns came together to ensure that televised debates were inclusive of all Democratic candidates competing to make Hogan a one-term governor.

“This is a dynamic and accomplished field of candidates, and we are proud that Maryland’s energized voters will have an opportunity to hear from all of them,” said Maryland Democratic Party Chair Kathleen Matthews. “Working together in a show of unity, the candidates asked that all Democrats be invited to the debates, which will allow voters to hear each candidate’s vision for the future of Maryland, and will present a stark contrast to Hogan’s failed leadership and broken promises.  Voters will see that while Governor Hogan has shortchanged Maryland, Democrats have their back.”

Democratic primary voters across the entire state will have an opportunity to hear from the Democratic gubernatorial candidates, beginning with a debate hosted by Maryland Public Television, WBAL-TV, WBAL-AM and the League of Women Voters on Monday, May 21stat 7pm.
