MARYLAND — Today, Republican gubernatorial nominee Dan Cox’s fellow Republican gubernatorial candidate and fellow insurrectionist Doug Mastriano announced that Cox will be in Pennsylvania tomorrow, attending a Trump rally.
Exactly one month prior to tomorrow’s rally, Cox doubled down on promoting his shared vision with Trump during a radio appearance but refused to directly answer when he would invite Trump to Maryland. Cox welcomed Mastriano to Maryland to campaign for him in May, a month after the pair attended a QAnon conference at which the opening speaker warned of “child satanic trafficking.”
“Dan Cox is not doing anything to earn the trust of Maryland voters— He would prefer to be at a QAnon conference,” said Maryland Democratic Party spokesperson Ernest Bailey. “Instead of spending Labor Day weekend with Marylanders, Cox is apparently going out of state to rally with Donald Trump and fellow MAGA extremists and insurrection organizers. That tells you just about everything you need to know about his candidacy.”
