MARYLAND DEMOCRATIC PARTY ANNOUNCES NEW DIRECTOR OF COMMUNITY OUTREACH AND DIRECTOR OF COMMUNICATIONS
Annapolis, Md. – The Maryland Democratic Party today announced the addition of two new staff members to lead the Party’s community outreach and communication efforts.
Chuck Conner will manage the Party’s partnerships with central committees, clubs, and Diversity Leadership Councils. He will build new bridges with civil rights leaders, faith groups, labor unions, progressive groups, and other potential allies in our work.
Jazzmen Knoderer will serve as Director of Communications managing the Party’s messaging, media, and digital strategy.
“Chuck and Jazzmen have held senior leadership roles at some of Maryland’s leading institutions,” said Maryland Democratic Party Chair Bruce Poole. “Their experience, energy and creativity will help us strengthen the party and win big in November 2016.”
Knoderer, an adjunct lecturer at Towson University in the Department of Mass Communication and Communication Studies, is a lifelong resident of Baltimore. Before joining the Party, Knoderer served as a program coordinator at Johns Hopkins University.
Conner most recently served as Director of Stewardship at Thread, a Baltimore-based non-profit that engages underperforming high school students confronting significant barriers outside of the classroom. He previously served as an aide to House Democratic Caucus Chair Luke Clippinger.
