SHOT/CHASER: Republican Larry Hogan Claims He Isn’t “Beholden” to Washington While Fundraising With Republican Leader Focused on Securing GOP Majority

Jul 30, 2024

Republican Larry Hogan – who was personally recruited by Republican Leader Mitch McConnell to help Republicans regain control of the U.S. Senate – is once again trying to cover up the fact that could be the 51st seat Republicans need to secure their majority and push forward an agenda that’s out of step with Marylanders.

Shot: In an op-ed published in the Hill today, Republican Larry Hogan tried to claim he wouldn’t be “beholden to the broken system.”

Chaser: Twelve hours before the op-ed published, Hogan proudly held his second fundraiser alongside Senate Republican Leadership candidate John Thune, who’s working to secure a Senate majority he could lead as Mitch McConnell’s potential successor.

EVERGREEN REMINDER: Larry Hogan vows to caucus with Republicans and would turn control of the U.S. Senate over to the GOP.
