Larry Hogan, Steve Hershey, And Ed Hale Run Away From Questions About Trump And Other Maryland Republicans Run To Defend Him

After Trump Fired 15,000 Maryland Federal Workers And Is Ripping Healthcare Away From Nearly 250,000 Marylanders, Maryland Republican Says Trump Is Doing “Exactly What The President Campaigned On”

ANNAPOLIS, MD – When asked by the Daily Record Larry Hogan, Steve Hershey, Ed Hale had “no comment” on the Trump Administration’s direct assaults on the people of Maryland. Another  Republican said Trump was doing “exactly what the President campaigned on” even after he fired more than 15,000 Maryland federal workers.

“After Democrats’ resounding victory last Tuesday it’s no surprise that Larry Hogan and Steve Hersey are running away from questions about a President who has directly harmed the State of Maryland time and time again,” said Karen Darkes, Executive Director of the Maryland Democratic Party. “Hogan and Hershey clearly aren’t prepared to stand up for Marylanders, and the 2025 elections have shown us that no one defending Trump is going to win at the ballot box.”

Since Senator Angela Alsobrooks sent Larry Hogan into retirement last year, he has been nothing more than a keyboard warrior. The Daily Record notes Hogan has talked about the Trump shutdown, but that “he stopped short of implicating the president by name.” This silence comes after President Trump endorsed Larry Hogan in his 2024 senate race. Larry Hogan’s lackey, Steve Hershey, who’s only taking actions deemed “appropriate” by the old governor also kept his lips zipped when asked about Trump’s attack on the state.

While Republicans continue to run away and defend Trump, Democrats in Maryland are fighting back against the far-right policies that have sent our country into chaos.
