Maryland Democrats Launch Statewide Talk-Back Tour: We’re Showing Up Everywhere
Tour kicks off August 18 in Frederick with DNC Chair Ken Martin and heads to counties denied FEMA relief
Annapolis, MD — The Maryland Democratic Party is hitting the road with one goal: to fight back, get loud, and build a party that listens to all voices.
The Talk-Back Tour kicks off this month with public events across the state, in coordination with each Central Committee. At each stop, Democrats will hold open community forums where voters can speak honestly about what matters and what needs to change. No filters. Just real conversations.
“Marylanders in every county are defending our families, our neighbors, our co-workers, and our farms and businesses from the Trump administration’s assault on all of us,” said Chair Steuart Pittman. “This statewide tour is our opportunity to talk back, to tell our stories, and to grow the one institution that exists to deliver economic justice and dignity for all of us, the Democratic Party.”
The tour officially kicks off in Frederick County with DNC Chair Ken Martin on August 18 at 7:00 PM, then heads west to Mountain Maryland, beginning in the same counties where Trump denied FEMA relief. More stops will be announced soon, with events planned in all 24 counties.

Governor Wes Moore voiced his support for the effort. “The future of our party depends on organizing everywhere and listening to people on the ground. I’m proud to see Maryland Democrats leading the way with a tour that hears directly from the voices of the people.
This isn’t a lecture tour. It’s a chance for voters to call us out, challenge our ideas, and help us grow stronger. Whether you’re fired up or fed up or somewhere in between, this is your moment to speak out and shape the future of the Maryland Democratic Party.
