Dan Cox And Ed Hale Skip First Republican Debate
Other Republican Candidates Praise Trump And Even Call Some Voters Stupid
ANNAPOLIS, MD āĀ Leading Republican candidates, Dan Cox and Ed Hale bothĀ skippedĀ the first Republican primary debate last night.
āItās no surprise that Dan Cox and Ed Hale were no-shows at the first Republican Debate. Dan is probably still moving his stuff back to Maryland from Pennsylvania, and I canāt imagine Republicans are thrilled to invite Ed, who just a couple months ago was running as a Democrat,āĀ said Maryland Democratic Party Chairman, Steaurt Pittman.Ā āThe adoration we saw last night for Donald Trump by everyone on that stage is disqualifying. Trump’s reckless policies have cost nearly 25,000 Marylanders their jobs and have raised prices on everything from gas to groceries to energy. But here in Maryland, Governor Moore is showing thereās a better way forward, engaging residents from across the state in the hard work of balancing budgets and creating opportunity for all Marylanders. Thatās why voters will send him back to Annapolis in November.ā
In a debate hosted by Fox 45ās Chris Papst and Baltimore Sunās Torrey Snow, Republicans threw barbs at one another and even called Maryland voters stupid. Candidate Douglas Larcomb blasted Dan Cox, questioning how Republicans could support Dan Cox after he wasĀ āannihilatedāĀ in 2022 by Governor Moore. He also called Ed Hale aĀ āflipflopperāĀ after he changed his party affiliation in the middle of his campaign. Candidate John Myrick called city voters stupid, as he claimed they have aĀ āhard time spelling Republican.ā
WhenĀ askedĀ for comment about why they skipped, Dan Cox and Ed Hale gave Maryland voters the same response they put forward last nightā¦silence.
