Reports today that GOP health care bill “would drop addiction treatment mandate covering 1.3 million Americans”

Annapolis, Md. – While Governor Larry Hogan “doesn’t want to get into the details” and thinks it’s still ‘too early to judge‘ Donald Trump and the Washington GOP’s disastrous health care bill, here are the advocacy groups and Republicans governors who have already sided against Trumpcare:

Even the Trump administration’s top Medicaid official has come down against the health care bill.

And while Hogan continues to dodge and even yesterday claimed he “doesn’t want to get into the details,” the Washington Post reported today that that GOP health care bill “would drop addiction treatment mandate covering 1.3 million Americans.”

The following statement was released by Maryland Democratic Party spokesperson Bryan Lesswing:

“Despite doctors, hospitals, health care industry leaders, aging Americans – even other Republican governors – opposing Donald Trump and the Washington GOP’s disastrous health care bill, Governor Larry Hogan doesn’t want to ‘get into the details’ and still thinks it’s ‘too early to judge.’”

“With the health care of so many Maryland families on the line, Goveror Hogan’s refusal to stand up for them begs the question – does he believe they deserve coverage?”
