MARYLAND DEMOCRATIC PARTY REPORTS STRONG FUNDRAISING
Democrats have seven times as much cash on hand to help support federal candidates as Maryland GOP

Annapolis, Md. – The Maryland Democratic Party today announced raising $334,768 into its federal account in June, with $415,310 on hand to help support federal candidates in the 2016 general election. Maryland Democrats have more than seven times as much cash on hand to help support federal candidates as Maryland Republicans.

“Our top priority is electing Chris Van Hollen to the United States Senate and returning seven strong Democrats to the House of Representatives,” said Maryland Democratic Party Chair Bruce Poole. “We launched our coordinated campaign earlier than ever, and we have volunteers knocking on doors and making phone calls seven days a week. We aren’t taking anything for granted, and we have the resources we need to help support our candidates for federal office.”

The Maryland Republican Party reported $69,811 cash on hand to the Federal Election Commission for the period ending June 30, 2016.
