Job Description: Field Organizer (Division Lead)
Reports To: Regional Field Director / Field Director
Classification: Full-Time, Temporary – June 30, 2026
Location: Baltimore County, MD
Salary Range: $6,000
Position Overview
The Field Organizer is responsible for executing the campaign’s voter contact and grassroots
organizing program within one of three designated divisions of the county. This role is central to
building a strong, people-powered operation that identifies, persuades, and mobilizes voters in
support of Julian Jones for County Executive. Field Organizers will recruit, train, and manage
volunteers; coordinate canvasses and phone banks; and maintain accurate data to ensure the
campaign meets its voter contact and turnout goals.
Key Responsibilities
1. Volunteer Recruitment & Management
• Recruit, train, and retain volunteers through phone calls, in-person outreach, events, and digital
engagement.
• Build and maintain a strong network of neighborhood captains, precinct leaders, and community
partners.
• Conduct daily follow-up with new sign-ups within 24 hours to ensure engagement and task
assignment.
2. Voter Contact Execution
• Plan and lead canvassing, phone banking, text banking, and community visibility events across
assigned division.
• Ensure all voter contact activities align with the campaign’s targeting and messaging strategy.
• Manage daily and weekly voter contact goals and report performance metrics to the Field
Director.
3. Data & Reporting
• Accurately track volunteer activity, voter contact results, and event participation in the
campaign database (e.g., VAN).
• Regularly analyze field data to refine outreach strategies and identify areas for additional
engagement.
• Submit daily and weekly reports summarizing progress toward field goals.
4. Community Engagement
• Represent the campaign at community meetings, local events, and civic gatherings to increase
visibility and support.
• Build partnerships with local organizations, faith-based institutions, and neighborhood
associations.
5. Team Coordination
• Collaborate with other Division Organizers to ensure consistency of voter engagement and
message delivery across the county.
• Participate in daily check-ins and weekly strategy sessions with the Field Director and campaign
leadership.
Qualifications
• Minimum of one campaign cycle or equivalent experience in community organizing, advocacy,
or political outreach.
• Strong leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to motivate and manage volunteers from diverse backgrounds.
• Excellent organizational and time management skills; able to meet multiple deadlines.
• Proficiency with voter contact tools and databases (VAN, Reach, MiniVAN, etc.) preferred.
• Willingness to work long, flexible hours including evenings and weekends.
• Access to reliable transportation within assigned division.
