Job Title: Campaign Coordinator
Councilmember Evan Glass is a progressive Democrat running for Montgomery County
Executive. The campaign is looking to hire a Campaign Coordinator to help plan and
staff campaign events, including forums, fundraisers and meet and greets. This position
will also be responsible for volunteer recruitment and management.
This is a part-time position with the potential to grow into full-time as the campaign
progresses.
The applicant must be people-oriented, adaptable and be a strong communicator. They
should possess strong organizational skills, attention to detail, and the ability to manage
multiple projects at once. This is an opportunity to be bold and creative while also
making history supporting the first openly LGBTQ+ candidate for Montgomery County
Executive.
Responsibilities:
• Coordinate logistics and provide on-site staffing for events
• Develop and implement a volunteer recruitment plan
• Schedule, assign and train volunteers to staff campaign events and needs
• Prepare and distribute event materials and signage
• Collaborate with community organizations, local leaders, and partner groups
• Coordinate weekly updates and communication
Minimum Qualifications:
• Prior political campaign experience
• Direct experience recruiting and managing volunteers
• Proven experience coordinating events and logistics
• Familiarity and prior use of voter database
• Proficiency in Google Workspace and Canva
• Car and valid driver’s license
• Ties to Montgomery County, MD strongly preferred
Compensation and start date: Compensation commensurate with experience (hourly
rate). Preference for October start date.
