Campaign Manager
Brooke Lierman for Maryland is seeking to hire a full-time campaign manager for the 2026 Maryland election cycle. The campaign manager will oversee day to day operations of the campaign as well as leading the campaign’s external organizing strategy. As campaign manager, you will lead a statewide grassroots effort to re-elect the Comptroller of Maryland. Candidates should be familiar with Maryland and excited to help grow a small but mighty team.
This senior-level person will work with leaders around the state, work in all of Maryland’s 24 counties, and ensure a robust field plan is implemented and executed. The campaign manager will work closely with and report directly to the candidate. The applicant must be detail-oriented, have strong organizational skills, be able to manage multiple projects simultaneously, work at a quick pace, and have a good sense of humor!
Responsibilities include:
- Run the day to day operations of the campaign.
- Collaborate with the candidate to set the overall strategy and campaign plan.
- Lead the organizing, development, and implementation of a statewide organizing plan.
- Set and hold the team accountable to meet and exceed benchmarks for voter contact, volunteer recruitment, grassroots engagement and GOTV
- Oversee and support the recruitment and management of volunteers, fellows, and potentially additional staff
- Develop appropriate metrics and manage systems of accountability for staff and volunteers.
- Manage and facilitate communication with allies and supporters, including elected officials..
- Analyze data and modeling to create and track progress in voter contact universes.
- Serve as the staff point of contact for any coordinated campaign.
- Utilize voter contact tools and integrate them into the organizing and field plan.
- Additional duties as assigned by the candidate.
Requirements:
- Experience training, supporting, and managing staff in an electoral or community engagement capacity
- Previous political campaign experience
- Experience in Maryland
- Proficiency using Votebuilder (VAN)
- Strong and effective organizational skills
- Ability to maintain confidential information
- Reliable transportation for statewide travel
- Ability to work long or irregular hours
Strongly Preferred but not required:
- Maryland resident
- Secondary: Maryland ties
- Experience in urban, suburban, and rural areas

Compensation and start date: Salary commensurate with experience. Health benefits included. The start date will be agreed upon between the campaign and the candidate with preference for a September start date.
