About IADLC

The Italian American Democratic Leadership Council (IADLC) is the national voice of Italian Americans in the Democratic Party. IADLC works to elect Italian American Democrats, engage voters, develop the next generation of political leaders, and strengthen Italian American participation in Democratic politics.

As we build toward the 2026 elections, IADLC is seeking a motivated intern to support our communications, political outreach, and campaign activities.

What You’ll Do

Working with IADLC leadership and consultants, the intern will assist with:

• Research on candidates, campaigns, elections, and Italian American political news
• Social media, email, website, and other digital content
• Candidate endorsements and 2026 campaign-support activities
• Fundraising communications and supporter outreach
• Scheduling virtual events and/or meetings and follow-through on action items
• Other communications and special projects during the 2026 election cycle

Who We’re Looking For

The ideal candidate has some previous experience through an internship, campaign, student organization, nonprofit, political organization, or similar role and can demonstrate:

• Strong writing, editing, and online research skills
• Experience creating or managing social media and digital content
• Strong organizational skills, including scheduling, tracking assignments, and following through on action items
• Ability to research candidates and political issues and turn information into clear, concise content
• Comfort working independently, managing multiple priorities, and meeting deadlines in a fast-paced environment
• Strong attention to detail and professional communication skills
• Familiarity with Democratic politics, campaigns, fundraising, or advocacy

What You’ll Gain

Interns will gain hands-on experience in political communications, campaigns, digital organizing, fundraising, and voter engagement while building connections with political leaders, campaigns, and Democratic organizations across the country.
