Annapolis, MD – The Maryland Democratic Party announced the launch of its new vidcast series, “Burn the Talking Points” with the first guest of the newly elected Chair of the Democratic Party, Ken Martin. This was his first recorded interview after being elected chair (having been recorded Sunday morning – less than 24 hours after being elected).
This innovative effort aims to engage Marylanders with candid, unscripted discussions on the issues that matter most to our state’s residents with the decision makers behind the headlines.
“Burn the Talking Points” will feature a variety of guests including state and national leaders, activists, campaign experts, influencers, media personalities, and more. The vidcast is designed to break away from the stale political rhetoric, focusing instead on getting authentic conversations quickly into the feeds of Marylanders.
Key features of “Burn the Talking Points” include:
Authentic Conversations: Each episode will tackle topics including what is happening in Maryland and national news, deep dives into Democratic strategy, from education to environmental policy, from healthcare to economic development, without the constraints of pre-prepared talking points.
Critical Voices: The series will spotlight individuals from across Maryland and at the national level, ensuring that a variety of perspectives are heard and considered in the political discourse.
Actionable Insights: Beyond discussion, the vidcast will aim to provide viewers with actionable information on how they can get involved, fight back against the excesses of the federal government, and shape the future of the party.
Accessibility: Available on multiple platforms, “Burn the Talking Points” will be accessible to a wide audience, encouraging broad participation in Maryland’s political process.
Ken Ulman, Chair of the Maryland Democratic Party, stated, “We believe that ‘Burn the Talking Points’ will not only inform but also inspire Marylanders to engage more deeply with what they are seeing on their TV screens and their social media feeds.
